"I know in my heart that man is good. That what is right will eventually triumph. And there is purpose and worth to each and every life."
~Ronald Raegan
After singing one and a half Adele songs in my echoing voice which seemed melodious to my tone deaf ears and applying at least half a gallon of shampoo on my hair, my mind had an avalanche of thoughts starting with the mildest snowfall of the words, "Life. What about life? Why do we have it?"
On being asked the purpose of his life by a student, he'd talk about his career plans and ambitions.
On being asked the purpose of life by a working man, he'd talk about promotions and further success.
On being asked the purpose of life by a son or a daughter, they'd talk about making their parents proud.
On being asked the purpose of life by a spouse, the answer would be about keeping their partner happy.
On being asked the purpose of life by a human being, the answer would vary each time a goal is achieved or would fade away sooner or later.
So WHAT is the purpose of life?
Different people would have different answers.
My belief is that our inner being is an evergreen tree whose motive is GROWTH.
We come into this world as crying infants, unable to bear the sudden pressure of the atmosphere; we grow into immature demanding teenagers who recklessly make mistakes; life then takes us to a point where we grow into young adults who in our minds know the difference between wrong and right, but the thin ever-crumbling line between them, sends us into wider and more drastic problems- that's when they say 'You're now seeing the real world.'; we further find ourselves to be playing so many roles on the stage of life and in each act, we expect perfection which leads us to frequent disappointment; and LASTLY, we during the last few years of our life, realize the mistakes we had made, the chances we were too scared to take, the unnecessary blame game we played when the culprit was actually us. We fall, we pick ourselves up, remember to apply the lesson we learnt in practicality and march right ahead. Till our very last breath, we keep learning.
Another question: "Why is pain a necessary element?"
We all talk about how we should put what we study to practical use, don't we?
Life believes in that too.
Life is a school, where Karma is a teacher and we are mere students. Karma carefully watches our actions, jots down each loophole, and teaches us a lesson by putting us through the pain deserved. And trust me, each problem is a repercussion of an action taken by us at some point or the other. Never blame anyone who has hurt you, that person was just there as a pawn of Karma.
When I say this, another question arises in my mind- "What's the point of learning? What's the point of anything?"
And frankly, the answer to this, I am still racking my minds on.
There is just one thing I know~ No negative thought is needed in our lives, and the heart is a lot more intelligent than the brain as it tends to see the almost invisible difference between wrong and right. Fear nothing except Karma and most importantly, always remember, life loves you and is just taking you to the main goal you have to achieve- growth.
Life is not difficult, just has its own ways.
And yes, it took me 1 hour to remove that shampoo of my head. (Taught me to be more careful. ;) )
At this note, this is the Queen of Blah signing off. :D
